02/ DIGITAL PATTERN CUTTING
Once technical specifications are complete, our trusted factories and specialist pattern cutters develop digital patterns ready for sampling and production.
Using advanced digital systems allows for greater precision, consistency and flexibility throughout the development process, while making adjustments and refinements far more efficient as products evolve.
It’s a critical stage in turning concepts into products that are technically accurate, manufacturable and ready for real-world production.
03/ MANUAL PATTERN CUTTING
For smaller production runs and more specialised developments, particularly within our UK manufacturing network, we can also create manual paper or card patterns.
Manual pattern cutting allows for a more hands-on development approach and can be particularly useful for bespoke products, early-stage sampling and highly detailed design adjustments throughout the fitting process.
This traditional technique continues to play an important role in certain areas of product development where flexibility, craftsmanship and close refinement are essential.
04/ Toiles & Early Shape Development
For more complex or highly detailed products, we may first create a toile using a similar fabric to test shape, balance and overall construction before moving into full pattern development and proto sampling.
This stage allows us to refine fit, proportion and functionality earlier in the process, helping reduce unnecessary revisions further down the line.
Toiles are particularly valuable for technically challenging products where precision and structure are critical to the final outcome.
05/ Sampling & Product Refinement
As part of our full development process, our factories produce a range of samples throughout each stage of product development to ensure quality, accuracy and consistency before final production begins.
This can include prototypes, proto samples, fit samples, press samples, production samples and final gold seal samples, depending on the needs of the product and development journey.
Each stage allows products to be reviewed, refined and tested to ensure the final outcome performs, fits and functions as intended before moving into manufacture.
06/ Fit Sessions & Technical Reviews
Achieving the right fit and functionality is a critical part of successful product development.Fit sessions are carried out in-house with our technical team and fit models, allowing products to be carefully reviewed for fit, comfort, proportion, movement and overall performance.
Any adjustments, refinements or technical updates are then recorded directly into the technical specifications, ensuring each new sample moves progressively closer to the final production standard.
07/ Size Charts & Grading
We can create fully graded size charts using standard grading rules or develop bespoke sizing structures tailored specifically to your product and target customer.
Starting from an approved base size, grading helps ensure consistency of fit, proportion and performance across the full size range before production begins.
Carefully developed size charts are essential for creating products that fit accurately, perform consistently and deliver a stronger customer experience.
08/ GARMENT AND
PRODUCT TESTING
Testing plays a critical role in ensuring products are safe, functional, durable and fit for purpose before reaching the customer.
From wearer trials and fit testing to performance, wash and compliance testing, we help founders assess how products perform in real-world use while identifying any necessary improvements during development.
We can also coordinate official third-party testing where required to help products meet relevant UK legislation, safety standards and industry requirements before production and launch.
